One Republic Lied

Hello, dearest blog. It's been a while. I'm sorry if you feel that I've been neglecting you... rest assured I haven't. It's just that... with everything that's been going on, I just haven't found the time to update you.

But don't worry. That changes now.

My last post was on June 16th. Quite a lot has happened since then...

I uttered my infamous* quote; "He's an idiot, I'm an even bigger idiot. I am now tired of the whole situation, but it still doesn't change how I feel."
(*By 'infamous', I mean only 2 people know about it.)

I flew to London, where I saw and heard dozens of Japanese tourists (SUGOI~ ne?).

Then after 12+ hours in a tin can in the sky, I arrived in HongKong. A heatwave slapped me in the face when I stepped off the plane. And then I saw some unbelievably lazy creatures (aka Pandas).

Three days later I flew back to me homeland, where I thought I'd be slapped in the face by an even bigger heatwave. But instead I was greeted by a thunderstorm, which robbed our plane of its ability to land (for about 2 hours).

I saw my doggie again! Crappy guard dog, she is, but I love her to pieces.

I bought Sandman #2! Fantastic stuff!

I have been avoiding ghosts and demons. I know I've said that I stopped fighting my inner demons and that we're on the same side now. But feck it, more demons keep popping up.

Oh, and awesome food. Fantastic food.

Pictures shall be posted when I'm no longer melting... probably.

That's it for now! Ciao~

The End of One Thing is The Start of Another

Aaaand my week-long vacation is over. Booooo! It was actually a bit longer than a week, but same difference - it flew by. Tomorrow I return to school. Back to hectic schedules and rushing to catch deadlines. But ah... C'est la vie.

Sooo... What have I done during the break?
  • I sent a letter to Bean!
  • Watched the OMGWTFÜBERSHOCKINGHOLYSHIT House episode, and posted a rather eloquent rant about it.
  • Signed up for a laser war session with the Mensa people.
  • I read two books! Veien til Jerusalem (The Way To Jerusalem) and American Psycho (fucking shocking book... I love it! I think.)
  • Finished a report outline for the first book.
  • Watched Kill Bill 2 and fell in love with it all over again.
  • Fixed my screensaver (which is comprised of a bunch of artfully written quotes).
  • Watched a ton of clips from The Late Late Show w/ Craig Ferguson (I love that man)
  • Got addicted to The Cure.
  • Taught someone geometry.
The aforementioned addiction to The Cure ultimately led to me listening to 'One Hundred Years' after finishing American Psycho. Baaaaad decision, I tell you. The crushing feeling of despair and angst will literally knock the breath out of you. Unless you're a masochist, in which case go right ahead.

And today I made mini apple pies! Lookit them! Aren't they cute? :D

That one on the blue plate turned out differently...
I ran out of pastry for the lattice pattern. Poor thing...

So that's that. Back to the battlefield tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Boredom + crazy ideas + crazier friends = wonderful things.
xD

I have not updated in ages, I know, and I deeply apologize. School officially ended last week, but I have been crazy busy since the 13th.

June 13 I went to Helsinki, and it was great. It was a conference about Minority Youths in Nordic Countries. Sounds deep, but it was really loads of fun. I learned a lot, met new people, and finally got to do something productive. I can't wait to go again next year.

And then it was a theater appointment, then back to school to get me grades - B average! So I did learn something! :D

And then it was off to a surprise party for a friend who's leaving. I was lamenting though, that it was the start of my summer vacation, and yet i still had to run around and do stuff. Can I escape the deadlines for once??

Then Sunday came, and George Carlin died. :(
That man was one of my heroes. He shall be sorely missed.

And so now my summer plans:
I plan on doing NOTHING!

It's already been crazy this past year. Deadlines! Reports! Exams! Mock exams! Tests! Homework! Appointments! BLAH!

I think I'd just like to do nothing, for a change. After all, that's what a vacation is supposed to be like.

Or maybe I'm just weird.

The Big Wide World

August 8, 2007
Mood: extremely excited, nervous and scared

I'm scared.

Portus 2008 : July 10-13, 2008 , Dallas, Texas

Accio 2008 : July 25-27, 2008, Oxford, England

I finally got the go ahead signal from my mother to go alone unsupervised to these events.

And I am scared.

I am excited though, cause it's gonna be tons of fun, I'm gonna go meet a bunch of friends that I've never met before. It's a Harry Potter convention, and it's gonna be glorious!!

But I am a bit frightened at the prospect of traveling alone.

Heck, I'm scared out of my wits!!!

I have a lot of "what if's", "what now's", "how's", and stuff running around my mind. But ah, things will sort themselves out.

And as my mom said, "You can read English, you can speak English, I see no reason why you'd get lost." See my mom, the Sagittarius. :D

I'm soooo excited! Words cannot describe the excitement I'm feeling right now. If I could, I'd pack my suitcase right now and wander off... but I can't! I need more money, more time, more preparations, more everything!!

And I'll have to ask my mom's help about ticket reservations and stuff... I've no problem with Dallas, cause someone's gonna pick me up. But you know what scares me the most?

England's train stations.

They've got a whole web of trains!! Honestly! I don't understand a thing!! I'm scared!! Accio sounds like a formal but fun event, and it's in England! ENGLAND!! But it's gonna be my first time there and I'll be all alone!!

Well, granted, two people I know whom I've never met are gonna be there too but that's beyond the point.

I do know an Englishman, but I'm too shy to bug him for help. Honestly. Maybe as a last resort.

Jerry! You have to freakin' help me!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!

I am at the verge of panicking; yet the event is a year away!! Holy crap!! >_<;; I guess I'll just have to reassure myself that it's all gonna be okay. That everything's gonna sort themselves out...
